Almost a year

The post title refers to a couple things. First, my son Mason is turning one year old on August 2. My amazement about that is just impossible to put into words. I’ve had this “Write Post” screen up for about an hour trying to put my thoughts into words that capture all the emotions I feel about Mason turning one, but it’s not happening right now. Certainly, his birthday is a period of significant reflection for me. And Keturah, as well. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll see what I can do to get our thoughts written into a post.

One thing if for certain. Mason continues to be one of the best things to ever happen to me and raising him is a complete pleasure.

But it is Mason that also addresses another aspect to the post title. He’s made it nearly impossible for me to pay the attention I would like to this blog. My last blog post was a few days after he was born. Now here I am, almost a year later and haven’t posted a thing here.

I’m off to WordCamp this weekend and I’m sure I’ll meet plenty of people who will end up Googling my name and end up at this site. They’ll come here and see a blog that rarely gets updated. And that’s too bad, because its a missed opportunity for these people to learn more about me. So, if I meet you at WordCamp this weekend and you’d like to know more about me, send me an email or comment below and I’ll do what I can to fill you in.
